A Master Bathroom Built for Relaxation & Function

This master bathroom remodel started with a clear vision: create a beautiful, spa-like space that blends luxury with everyday functionality. The homeowners wanted it all — a walk-in steam shower, a deep soaking tub, a dedicated makeup vanity, and plenty of cabinetry for smart storage. They also requested a separate toilet area for added privacy.

Project Challenges

The project had its share of challenges. The steam shower meant we had to waterproof not just the walls, but the entire bathroom ceiling as well. Once we opened up the ceiling, we realized it wasn’t structurally strong enough to hold the porcelain tiles the homeowners picked. So we reinforced everything and upgraded the insulation before tiling.

The materials brought the design to life: Villeroy & Boch Vilbostone Plus porcelain tile, a FloorCo soaking tub, Adura custom cabinetry, quartz tub surrounds, and sleek fixtures from Kohler. Everything came together to create a space that feels clean, modern, and relaxing—without sacrificing functionality.
